Wifi Problems?
Do you have problems with your Internet?. Does your Internet cut out during an important meeting?, Do your downloads take ages? Are you getting disconnected when playing games? Does it lag?.
If the answer to any of the questions above is 'Yes' then this would suggest that you have a problem with your WIFI connection, this could mean that you have too many devices connecting to the WIFI or that you are in a bad area for strong connection. This can be an easy fix however would mean that you would need to purchase additional componants.
There are two 'quick fix' methods of fixing your WIFI connection.
Method 1
You would purchase an Ethernet cable such as this -> Ethernet Cable , you would choose an appropriate length depending on the length between your modem/router and the device that you need a stable Internet connection on.
Once this arrives, you would plug one end of these in your modem/routers free slots at the back and the other end would go in the devices ethernet slot, this would then create a wired Internet connection allowing you to have fast and stable Internet on the device of your choosing.
Method 2
If having a long cable run through the house is not ideal then you can purchase a kit which will allow you to have the same setup but transfer the internet through your plug sockets such as this -> TP Link Ethernet Powerline Starter Kit , this will allow you to have a wired Internet connection to one room which will stop the lag without having an extra long cable running through the house.
Once this arrives, you would plug one of these adapters into the wall near your modem/router, you would then need to plug the cable supplied from your modem/router into the adapter. You would need to plug the secondary apapter into a plug socket in the room which you require the wired connection, you would then plug the secondary ethernet cable into the second adapter and then into the device that requires the Wired internet connection. This setup will allow any device to use a wired connection rather than WIFI and will prevent any lag or discconnection issues.
You can view this YouTube tutorial on how to configure the adapters here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDLC6Ehai-c
This will work on any device with an Ethernet port such as Laptops/PC's/Tablets/TV's/ game consoles such as Xbox / Playstation however each piece of kit has its own different instructions and we would always recommend reading these before undertaking any work.
